This page lists what StayByRail (staybyrail.com) stores in your browser and why. We keep it short because there is not much to list.
Your hosting and caching layer sets a small number of cookies that make pages load correctly and keep the site secure. They carry no advertising identifier. If you sign in as an administrator, WordPress sets a session cookie so it knows who you are.
The site remembers your chosen language and currency, and the last few searches and hotels you viewed, so you do not have to set them again. These are kept in your browser’s own local storage rather than sent to us, and they disappear when you clear site data.
There is no advertising network, no social pixel and no third-party analytics on this site, so there are no tracking or profiling cookies to refuse.
Following a link to check prices takes you to a travel provider such as Booking.com. They set their own cookies under their own policy — including the one that records that you arrived from us, which is how affiliate commission is attributed. We have no access to those cookies.
Every browser lets you view, delete and block cookies and local storage for a single site, usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking the strictly necessary ones may stop parts of the site from working. Clearing local storage simply resets your language, currency and recent items.
